Extraordinary Porsche 356 Speedster from 1955!

It was the predecessor of the legendary 911 and is today an absolute icon of automobile construction itself. Of the Porsche 356 Speedster, whose basic construction is based on the VW Beetle, is usually considered the first Porsche of all time. The model was built almost unchanged for over 17 years, and rolled off the production line between 1948 and 1965. During that time, of course, the model of a 356 Speedster, which we are presenting in more detail today, was created, which left the factory in Zuffenhausen in 1955. On the occasion of the 2021 Porsche Restoration Challengers, presented Porsche Santa Clarita from sunny California, the treasure that is given to its owner, who owned it for over half a century, and for Modified racing purposes, has bought.

Looks very hard to get used to.

The vehicle became loving restauriert, is in excellent condition and is waiting for a new owner at Porsche Santa Clarita in California. Next to the blue-green exterior above all they fall golden rims immediately. It refers to Fake Halibrand magnesium rimswhich have a diameter of 15 inches on the front axle, while 16-inchers are mounted on the rear axle.

The measured values can be transferred to a PC via the Tubes Unfortunately we do not know anything, but they must have been renewed during the restoration. A few modifications of the Reutter body the Porsche also owns, and so, for example, the fender completely smoothed, and thick Chrome bumpers adorn the front and rear of the classic. Exhaust, Brakes and Suspension are left in their original condition and have not been changed. So there are still many OEM parts on the oldie, which will surely find a lover, even if it looks a bit getting used to from our point of view, because in our opinion the paintwork and the rims somehow don't really harmonize with each other.

We are pretty sure that this color combination is likely to be the subject of controversy among Porsche enthusiasts, and that many either love or hate the combination. One thing is certain for the next owner - namely attention!

The interior is also very colorful.

Stopped in the interior OEM sport seats with red leather cover on the seat cheeks. the Seating areas are, however, equipped with a checkered pattern in Burlington design, and so do the Door panels pick up the checkered pattern.

The dashboard is painted in the same color as the body, namely in a blue-green color, which is also the Steering wheel adorns. All in all, the cockpit looks wild from our point of view, and you have to have a special taste to befriend this interior.

1,6 liter boxer engine with four cylinders

The engine was also complete restauriert, however, obviously not performance-enhancing, as our information suggests about 95 PS disposes. The air-cooled engine sends the power by means of Transaxle with five gears on the rear wheels. Despite the low weight and the extremely compact dimensions, you can't tear up trees with 95 HP, but they are more than enough for a leisurely Sunday excursion.
