Unique Porsche 356 Speedster Homage based on the Boxster!

A unique vehicle based on a Porsche Boxster has been converted by DNA Automotive in the UK in homage to the legendary 356 Speedster. The vehicle that as 2018 Porsche 356 Speedster Homage is referred to, was recently by Historic Auctioneers sold in the UK. The rebuilt 986-generation Boxster has been transformed by DNA Automotive's Brian Hale into an impressive one-off that seamlessly captures the classic aesthetic of the original 356 Speedster. As part of the ambitious project, all standard body panels were replaced with custom-made components that are strongly reminiscent of the historic 356.

A look at the homage immediately reveals the intricate details and craftsmanship that went into the project. New round headlights and auxiliary lights, a bespoke hood and signature Fuchs-style rims with black and silver spokes are just some of the features that define the unique creation. In addition, a Porsche lettering on the sides, new exterior mirrors, headrests in the style of the 356 Speedster, an extendable spoiler and double exhaust pipes adorn the homage and contribute to the successful appearance.

Incidentally, this is a one-off that comes from the workshop of DNA Automotive. So there will be no further identical conversion. Despite its modern origins, we think the vehicle could easily pass as a genuine Porsche product, designed as a homage to the original 356 Speedster. It represents a successful blend of classic design and modern technology that perfectly carries the spirit of the original Speedster into the present day.

the unique piece could also come directly from Porsche

The Porsche 356 Speedster Hommage currently has a total mileage of 86.799 miles (approx. 139.689 km) and is testament to the fact that a love of automotive history and a passion for perfect craftsmanship can lead to breathtaking results. The silver speedster is a brilliant example of how a modern sports car can be transformed into a stylish and respectful homage to an iconic classic.
