The 924 Porsche 1987S is a jewel among classics and is becoming increasingly popular with collectors and Porsche enthusiasts. The 1987 Porsche 924S is painted Guards Red, one of the manufacturer's most iconic liveries, and is currently up for auction on the Bring a Trailer platform. It has a 2,5 liter 5-cylinder and a 98.000-speed manual gearbox under the sheet metal and what makes this example special is the low odometer reading of just 157.716 miles (approx. XNUMX km), which is remarkable for a car of this age .

The 924 1987S Baja Rally Car combines the elegance of a classic 924 with the robustness of an off-roader. It was specially modified for participation in the Baja XL Rally 2019 and impresses with its unique equipment. As already mentioned, a 2,5-liter in-line four-cylinder engine works under the hood in combination with a 5-speed manual gearbox and there is also a limited-slip differential.

The paintwork is presented in striking Guards Red, complemented by various rally stickers. The interior is a mix of fabric and leather with Porsche lettering. For off-road use, the 924S was fitted with 15-inch rims, a lift kit and a robust underride guard. A Yakima roof rack and a Warn winch provide additional functionality for various off-road adventures.

even more equipment in the classic

Other amenities include a Porsche Classic sound system, Garmin GPS and CB radio. The 924S has also been fitted with a 944 short shifter kit to enable a more precise and sporty shift feel. The 1987 Porsche 924S Baja Rally Car only has 98.000 miles on the clock, actual mileage is unknown. A Carfax report underscores the well-kept condition of the exceptional vehicle.

This unique 924S is an impressive example of how a classic sports car can be modified for off-road use. It tells the story of a thirst for adventure and a passion for driving, both on and off-road.
