Once again, the traditional company based in Overath, North Rhine-Westphalia, bought a Porsche 911 of the 964 series and painstakingly handcrafted it for a unique backdate in the look of the early 3s. The conversion, painted in Carmona red metallic (color code M25W), was widened by approx. XNUMX mm per side with the help of the popular “Classic Carrera Widebody” body kit made of GRP, carbon and Kevlar. The body was rounded off harmoniously with copper-colored, black and chrome-plated decorative elements and thus transformed into an extraordinary eye-catcher. A second layer of clear lacquer provides that certain extra depth of color. The interior has also been harmoniously redesigned to match the exterior.

The looks past modern materials and parts such as the Alcantara headliner, Recaro Sportster CS seats with leather, black-white-red Pepita fabric and Alcantara on the back, as well as the Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) with Bluetooth and Apple Car Play Driver through the deeply cupped Momo steering wheel, which is leather-covered with red decorative stitching, to the round instruments in the classic 911 look, with which the copper color element found on the outside is reflected in the interior. As a different colored design element, the only thing that stands out unobtrusively is the gear knob made of dark wood, which was produced on special customer request. If you open one of the doors, the viewer notices the door sill panels with copper-colored lettering and the structure of the original door panels.

The newly processed materials were adapted to the rest of the interior and the loudspeakers were replaced by larger ones with the latest technology. To round off the multimedia package with a hidden dashcam, new loudspeakers were also installed under the Alcantara-covered parcel shelf and connected to the front loudspeakers and radio under the passenger seat using a suitable power amplifier, whose processor was specially tailored to the interior. The on-board electronics are powered by an ultra-light Liteblox LB28XX lithium-ion battery. The standard 3,6 liter boxer engine with 250 hp has been completely revised with the help of new and better components, increased to 3,8 liters displacement with different pistons and cylinders and, thanks to sport camshafts and various detail optimizations, brought to an output of 320PS and 370NM.

The engine conversion was coordinated on a dynamometer and the specially developed 964 Classic exhaust system with tailpipes in GT3 look provides the right sound. So that the performance can be brought to the asphalt by the revised G50 5-speed gearbox with 964 RS differential lock, the chassis components have been renewed and partially replaced by tighter polyurethane bushings. In combination with a KW Clubsport chassis and Michelin Pilot Sport tires in sizes 225/45 R17 at the front and 255/40 R17 at the rear, driving values ​​result that are in no way inferior to today's sports cars. The sprint from 0 to 100 km / h takes 5 seconds and only comes to an end at 280 km / h.

However, as is well known, the journey is the goal and thanks to the steady torque curve, it is especially fun to drive from 2750 rpm. In order to delay the classic sports car again, a completely new 964 RS brake system with larger brake calipers, perforated discs, steel braided lines and high-performance brake fluid was installed behind the forged Fuchs rims. This ensures that safety is the top priority not only when it is used daily, but also when you visit the racetrack. And of course the braking point can also be brought closer to the turning point.

With a focus on a daily driver, the well-preserved basic vehicle delivered by the customer was also prepared for future use with cavity sealing, rust protection, underbody protection and stone chip protection film. The conversion took 12 months and cost around € 155.000 excluding the value of the base vehicle.
