Why not! Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991) as a convertible!

Who always wanted to know how a Porsche 911 GT3 RS convertible the 991 series would look like, a Californian tuner has the answer. They have the 911 GT3 RS, which was never officially built as a convertible version brought to the streets. The company is called Wicked Motor Work and is from California. The boys and girls had two options for implementing the project. The first was to take a real GT3 RS and cut the roof off. With regard to the statics of the vehicle, this is an extremely complicated one - if not impossible - venture. The other option was to take a 911 convertible and that Body parts from a GT3 RS to obstruct. And in the end, the latter was the path that Wicked Motor Work took.

The basis for the conversion was a 911 (991) Carrera S Cabrio, which according to Wicked Motor approximately $ 200.000 devoured to look like a 991 GT3 RS. That seems pretty high to us, but let's leave it that way. In any case, the result is an unbelievable one-off piece PCarMarket the days was up for sale.

According to the listing, almost all of the built-in parts are OEM components off the shelf at Porsche, which could explain the enormous tuning costs a little. The front and rear were specifically installed apron, there were the front ones with gills fender, the striking side skirts and of course that is also missing central exhaust including diffuser not. But that's not all. There were of course those too bonnet and the rear air intakes from the GT3 RS. Probably the most noticeable component is the fixed rear wingwhich looks extremely unusual on a convertible and takes a bit of getting used to.

Forged wheels from the HRE shelf

All components are either completely made Carbon or at least with Carbon components equipped. Only with the wheelset did they go a different way. Here there was forged wheels from the shelf of HRE-Performance Wheels in 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the back, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubbers are equipped. Incidentally, the rounds have a central lock like the Alus from the GT3 RS not. And the braking system is a good deal small than that of the GT3 RS. And the yield from the engine is also smaller. Since the vehicle is a pre-facelift, there is a work in the rear 3,8 liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder with 400 PS and 440 Nm. This means that the fake GT3 RS flies to 3,8 km / h in at least 100 seconds and can run a maximum of 301 kilometers per hour. We dare to doubt whether the GT3 RS body kit changes these values. If we get more information about the changes, there will of course be an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
