After the spectacular Remastered Porsche 911 (993) Speedster rendering from March of this year there is now the first real copy from the refiners of Gunther factory. In reality, too, it shows a very unique interpretation of one of the rarest Porsche 911s that has ever left the factory in Zuffenhausen. You can see it 993 Speedster Remastered at the most expensive event of the Monterey Car Week - "The Quail". At that time, Porsche only built two 911 Speedsters of the 993 generation. One of these was for the original 911 designer Butzi porsche and the other copy was a customer order from Jerry Seinfeld. And the interpretation of Gunther Werks is intended as a restomod to recall the two classics.
Porsche 993 Speedster Remastered
The 993 Speedster Remastered for The Quail is painted in Peninsula Cypan and there is also a contrasting mix of “Mandarin Orange” and a green one Leather landscape. But especially the technology and the structure of the vehicle are convincing.
Because a lot of effort was made to comply with modern safety standards and at the same time to get a car up and running that would performance-enhanced engine withstands. To increase the rigidity of the chassis, the Rear seats removed and instead became special Body stiffeners installed. They're under a chic Carbon tonneau cover hidden and in addition are two roll bars integrated. The highlight of a speedster is of course that downsized windshield. It has a frame made of carbon and a panel with aluminum reinforcements.
LED headlights and LED taillights
Further optical details are successful Five-spoke rims in the style of the classic Fuchs rims made of carbon and magnesium and there are spherical ones Aluminum rearview mirror as well as one front splitter made of carbon. The classic is also shown at the rear Exhaust tailpipes made of 3D-printed Inconel and of course, are ultra-modern LED main headlights and LED taillights, which even have a light strip. And what is hidden in the stern? This is where the heart of the 1.175 Speedster Remastered, which weighs just 993 kg, is located. Namely a 4,0 liter boxer engine with strong 441 hp and 454 Newton meters of torque. It rotates a maximum of 7.800 revolutions and transmits its power via a Getrag G50 six-speed manual transmission with new translations as well as a new one differential with carbon clutches on the rear wheels.
6-piston brake calipers from Brembo
And so that the XNUMX can be beaten around the circuit as befits its standing, Gunther built in Werks adaptive chassis from JRZwhich is available in three modes (Composed, Sport, Sport Plus) can be adjusted. Incidentally, there are new ones front and rear stabilizers from Eisenlohr Racing and even a special one Strut brace (Strut brace) is installed. Incidentally, the load is also braked 6-piston brake calipers from Brembo in front as well Four piston calipers rear. Gunther Werks only wants to build 25 vehicles from the 993 Speedster Remastered whose production is to start in early 2022 at prices unknown to us.
