2020 Porsche Panamera facelift receives a maximum of 620 hp!

Especially with the 463 kW (630 PS; Panamera Turbo S models: combined fuel consumption 11,1 - 10,7 l / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 253 - 245 g / km (as of 08/2020)) strong Panamera Turbo S. the sports car manufacturer underlines its high standards of best-in-class performance. The new top model clearly exceeds the performance figures of the previous Panamera Turbo. Porsche is also consistently pursuing its e-performance strategy. The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid supplements the plug-in hybrid range with a completely new drive with 412 kW (560 PS; Panamera 4S E-Hybrid models: combined fuel consumption 2,3 - 2,0 l / 100 km, power consumption combined 19,5 - 17,4 kWh / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 53 - 47 g / km (as of 08/2020)) system performance. The purely electric range has been increased by up to 30 percent compared to previous hybrid models. Comfort and sportiness benefit equally from further developed chassis components, control systems and a new generation of steering control and tires.

Turbo S: from zero to 100 km / h in 3,1 seconds

With 463 kW (630 PS; Panamera Turbo S models), the new Panamera Turbo S offers: combined fuel consumption 11,1 - 10,7 l / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 253 - 245 g / km (as of 08/2020)) and 820 Newton meters of torque 59 kW (80 PS) more power and 50 Nm more torque than the previous top-of-the-range Turbo model. This improves the driving performance significantly: the standard sprint is completed after 3,1 seconds in Sport Plus mode. The top speed is 315 km / h (Panamera Turbo S models: combined fuel consumption 11,1 - 10,7 l / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 253 - 245 g / km (as of 08/2020)). The well-known four-liter V8 biturbo engine - developed in Weissach, built in Zuffenhausen - has been fundamentally revised for this purpose.

The new Panamera Turbo S

In order to transfer the enormous power to the road in a controlled manner and to maximize cornering performance, the three-chamber air suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and roll stabilization Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC Sport) including Porsche Torque Vectoring have been implemented Plus (PTV Plus) applied model-specifically and further optimized.

The new Panamera Turbo S demonstrated its unrestricted readiness to perform on the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife: test driver Lars Kern completed the 20,832-kilometer lap on the world's most demanding racetrack in exactly 7: 29,81 minutes - the official record in the “luxury class ".

More sport and comfort through optimized suspension and control systems

The V8 biturbo engine in the Panamera GTS has been optimized primarily with regard to its power delivery. With 353 kW (480 PS; Panamera GTS models: combined fuel consumption 11,1 - 10,7 l / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 253 - 244 g / km (as of 08/2020)) and 620 Nm delivers the new Panamera GTS 15 kW (20 PS) more power than the previous model. This increases continuously up to the speed limit. The power delivery is thus equivalent to that of a classic naturally aspirated sports car. In addition, the asymmetrically designed rear silencer in the new standard sports exhaust system enhances the classic V8 sound characteristics even more than before.

The well-known 4-liter V2,9 biturbo engine is now used in all markets around the world in the new Panamera and Panamera 6. The output figures remain at 243 kW (330 PS; Panamera models: combined fuel consumption 8,8 - 8,6 l / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 201 - 197 g / km; Panamera 4 models: combined fuel consumption 9,0 - 8,7 l / 100 km; CO2 emissions combined 205 - 199 g / km (all as of 08/2020)) and 450 Nm unchanged.

For all new Panamera models, the chassis and control systems have been trimmed towards sportiness and comfort, and in some cases completely re-applied. For example, the revised Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) ensures a noticeable improvement in damping comfort, while the control of the electric roll stabilization Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC Sport) ensures more bodywork. In addition, a new generation of steering control and tires is used.

With the new Panamera 4S E-Hybrid, Porsche is presenting another performance-oriented plug-in hybrid model. The intelligent interaction of the 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK dual clutch transmission and the 2,9-liter V6 biturbo engine with 324 kW (440 hp) results in a system output of 412 kW (560 hp; Panamera 4S E-Hybrid models: combined fuel consumption 2,3 - 2,0 l / 100 km, combined power consumption 19,5 - 17,4 kWh / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 53 - 47 g / km (as of 08 / 2020)) and a maximum system torque of 750 Nm.

The driving performance is correspondingly impressive: in combination with the standard Sport Chrono Package, the sprint from zero to 100 km / h takes 3,7 seconds. The top speed is reached at 298 km / h (Panamera 4S E-Hybrid models: combined fuel consumption 2,3 - 2,0 l / 100 km, combined power consumption 19,5 - 17,4 kWh / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions 53 - 47 g / km (as of 08/2020)). The gross capacity of the battery has been increased from 14,1 to 17,9 kWh by means of optimized cells compared to the previous hybrid models and the driving modes have been optimized with a view to even more effective energy use. The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid has a purely electric range according to WLTP EAER City of up to 54 km (NEDC: up to 64 km).

Visually sharpened for an even more present appearance

The new Panamera models - which can be ordered as Sport Turismo or Executive with an extended wheelbase in addition to the sports sedan, depending on the drive - now have the previously optional Sport Design front with striking air inlet grilles and large side cooling air openings as well as a single-line front light. The completely redesigned front section of the Panamera Turbo S is differentiated by larger side air inlets and newly designed elements in the exterior color, which, thanks to their horizontal connection, reinforce the width effect. The lines of light on the double turbo front lights are now significantly further apart.

The revised strip of lights now runs seamlessly over the luggage compartment lid with adapted contour guidance. As a result, it seamlessly connects the two newly designed LED rear lights. The GTS models are fitted with the new, darkened Exclusive Design rear lights with dynamic coming / leaving home function as standard. Three new 20 and 21 inch wheels complete the range, so that a total of ten different designs are now available.

Digital networking and assistance systems for safety and comfort

Porsche Communication Management (PCM) includes additional digital functions and services such as the improved online voice control system Voice Pilot, Risk Radar for current traffic sign and hazard information, wireless Apple® CarPlay and many other Connect services.
