The tuning favorite in the Mercedes community is and remains the mighty G-Class! Especially with regard to performance improvements. Tuners like Mansory or Brabus sometimes get up to 900 hp from the off-roader, with one at BRABUS G V12 900 "ONE OF TEN" To be fair, I have to mention that a V12 was installed here. But tuner Posaidon is now completely exaggerating and showing that the factory V8 can even do more than the twelve-man. Ser in Mülheim-Kärlich based tuner plants the 13-fold! But the Mercedes-Benz / AMG specialists from POSAIDON push the 4,0-liter biturbo V8 to the aforementioned 830 hp in the course of the transformation to the RS 940+. In order to achieve such values, POSAIDON installs new performance turbochargers with ball bearings on the M177 DE 40 AL-V8 and also the exhaust system - from the downpipes to the tailpipes - is specially made. There were also optimizations to the intake and the charge air cooling of the eight-cylinder, and even the cylinder heads have been revised. Using "Porting“The inlet and outlet channels have been expanded and flow-optimized and the seat of the valves has also been improved and readjusted. And while POSAIDON likes to do without optical changes, this time the built-in carbon hood attachment was essential. It not only looks impressive, but also significantly improves the engine compartment ventilation.

The highlight is definitely the additional one Water / methanol injection. It is embedded in a custom-made luggage compartment floor and is fed by a PE tank. It enables a significant boost pressure increase, which does not expose the engine to higher thermal loads. Thus, increased performance and durability are combined. But only because POSAIDON also installed special software adaptations for the engine control unit (ECU), the transmission control unit (TCU) and the drive train (CPC) for the hardware upgrades. The result is completely crazy driving performance despite 2,6 tons of curb weight. The RS 830+ hammers to 3,6 km / h in just 100 seconds, which corresponds exactly to the key data of a standard AMG GT R! The tuner limits the top speed with regard to the tires to 280 km / h.
It goes without saying that an upgrade of the brake system was also necessary. The photo vehicle therefore received the powerful AMG carbon-ceramic composite brake system with powerful 6-piston calipers and 420 millimeter brake discs at the front, and 360 discs with 4-pistons at the rear -Saddles in the pincers. And the carbon-ceramic composite brake discs are around 40 percent lighter than conventional discs. This significantly reduces the unsprung and rotating masses and brings more driving dynamics to the flagship. Other changes are a roof attachment with additional lights and modified side pipes. The POSAIDON G 63 RS 830+ with 940 PS & 1.278 Nm should therefore cause many astonished looks.
