It's been over 4 years since Mercedes presented the AMG GT to the world. While the VorFacelift was still launched with a 462 hp V8, there was an upgrade after a short time. The GTs strengthened to 522 PS and with it there was also the 557 PS GT C. The highlight of the series, however, is the AMG GT R with 585 PS & 700 NM. But even he somehow has to come to terms with the fact that the focus has been on the brand new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC + (X290) for several weeks. Extreme 639 PS & 900 NM let him with a time of 7:25:41 min. become the fastest production four-seater on the Nordschleife and the dreamlike appearance does the rest. Time to put an exclamation mark for the AMG GT.

And that's exactly what tuner Posaidon does with the brand new GT RS 700+. A Mercedes-AMG GT with no less than 780 PS & 850 NM that probably also shows its big brother the taillights. In particular, Posaidon has pre-buttoned a pre-facelift with an original 462 hp. The tuner achieves the increase in performance by means of a new turbocharger, in-house chip tuning, a modified charge air cooling and an exhaust system including downpipes. The already mentioned 780 PS & 850 Nm torque pull in under the long bonnet. The torque even had to be electronically limited out of consideration for the transmission. But it also had to be adapted to the additional power for the 780 PS power level.

Visually, however, Posaidon holds back again. Apart from the subtle "Posaidon" lettering on the sills and a "GT RS 700+" badge on the rear, no difference to the series can be seen. It only seems to be a subtle lowering AMG solar team to have received a painted copy with a carbon package. Unfortunately, details are missing.
