The tuning options for the C8 Corvette are still very limited. There are already first ones bodykits, Rims and Prototype performance enhancements, but the selection is not really huge yet. Especially with regard to the performance gains. There are some tuning shops that are already experimenting on upgrading with turbochargers, but the encrypted control unit of the C8 is still a headache for many. So the expensive upgrades can turn into a risky endeavor. But now the Kansas City-based company claims ProChargerto have found a solution to the problem. A conversion to a compressor. The performance of the factory GM 6.2L LT2 V8 is said to increase from 495 hp to over 700 hp. The details of the C8-compatible compressor system are still very straightforward at the moment, but the company states that it is a bolted system that does not require any major changes to the vehicle.

ProCharger released a video this week of a converted Vette that is already getting burned out. In addition a sentence: "What does a LT2 with 700 hp sound like?“! ProCharger claims: "Thanks to the outstanding engineers at ProCharger, the world's first bolted compressor system for the Corvette C8 is just around the corner". While the globally based tuners have not yet cracked the encrypted control unit from GM, it is good to see that other ways are being found from the accessories to increase the performance of the C8.
