Monster - American Expedition Vehicles Prospector XL - Dodge Ram

Reading time 3 Min.

In April 2015 we presented the American tuner AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) and the then refined Dodge Ram pickup based on the 2500 or optionally the 3500. Well a good 18 months later the team brings a new Ram onto the market. Name of the whole: American Expedition Vehicles Prospector XL! And XL is certainly not an understatement. The basis for the conversion is the mighty Dodge Ram Heavy Duty Pickup, which has a significantly more beefy appearance thanks to a new steel front bumper with a cable winch and additional LED light. On the sides you can immediately see the large fender flares all around, which were not only attached for show purposes. The wheel arches in the 2016 version house a set of huge 40 inch off-road tires on black Katla alloy wheels. But it is not only the wheel / tire combination that makes the difference, but also the significant 3-inch lift that is achieved by means of aluminum coil springs.

The ram underlines the newly gained off-road performance with its air inlet snorkel on the roof, which is supposed to enable an extreme fording depth. A few subtle details such as a badge in the interior including a serial number and the new headrests with an embroidered logo round off the impressive package. The AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) team has published the clearly fluffed Ram the days and we are of course pleased to be able to show you the pictures. After the extensive off-road tuning cure that the Dodge Ram Heavy Duty Pickup was allowed to endure, it is now visually much more beefy and much more muscular than the production version. So if you have been secretly thinking of buying a large Dodge Ram Heavy Duty Pickup for a long time or are even a happy owner, AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) is certainly an interesting starting point when it comes to differentiating the vehicle from the production model.

As far as the further changes to optics or technology are concerned, we have tried to find out the most important details. As always, we have listed what came out of this in a small summary for you in the lower part of the article.
