Video: exciting documentary about Ruf Automobile!

A few days ago Welt released a 50-minute documentary about Ruf Automobile (Ruf), which of course we can't withhold from you. The company, which was founded in Germany in 1939, launched the first product under the Ruf brand as early as 1955. But that wasn't a car, but a coach, which led to Ruf founding his own bus company. Since then, however, it has blossomed into one of the leading tuning companies for Porsche vehicles.

The documentary tells the story of Ruf and how Ruf CTR for Ruf was the final breakthrough in 1987 as the fastest production car in the world. With a top speed of 339 kilometers per hour, it was faster than all other street-legal vehicles. And a year later it even reached 342 km/h and the footage from this video can be seen in the Welt documentary. Enjoy watching!

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
