At the age of only 22, Louis Renault screwed together his first car in a shed in his parents' garden: the "Voiturette" with 1,75 hp. After a public demonstration drive in 1898, the first twelve sales contracts were concluded. The Renault success story had begun. The family business continued to develop rapidly, and the number of orders grew continuously. Other branches of business were also entered: in the meantime even boat engines, locomotives and airplanes were manufactured. Tractors were also part of the product portfolio. Today the company belongs - not least thanks to the merger Nissen - one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world. Around three million vehicles are produced every year. Renault has also been represented as a works team in Formula 1 for many years. The company has won the world championship several times in the premier class of motorsport. Renault is also in demand and in demand in the tuning scene. With Renault Megane and Renault Clio, the manufacturer offers two sporty models to choose from, which provide a solid basis for vehicle tuning.
