Caravan Salon 2021: Renault Trafic Spacenomad Campervan!

With the new Trafic SpaceNomad, Renault is presenting a versatile and comfortable campervan at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, which will also be available in Germany from the beginning of 2022. The camper van with pop-up roof is available in two lengths, as a four- and five-seater and with a large selection of engines from 110 to 170 hp. The furnishings of the Trafic SpaceNomad include a kitchenette and two beds as well as an outdoor shower. With the Trafic SpaceNomad, Renault is responding to the ongoing boom in campers and motorhomes. The vehicle, designed by the French motorhome manufacturer Pilote, is manufactured in the Renault plant in Sandouville and, after a successful start in Switzerland, will also be launched in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark and France from 2022.

The campervan, offered in the length variants L1 (5,0 meters) and L2 (5,4 meters), impresses with extensive equipment on a comparatively compact area. This includes a large two-burner stove with piezo ignition, combined with a sink with an integrated tap. There is also a 49-liter refrigerator and a free-standing table for indoor or outdoor use. If this is not needed, it can be stowed in the trunk. The well thought-out furnishings are completed by two beds that can accommodate four adults. The rear bench seat can be converted into a comfortable bed of 130 x 185 centimeters in just a few simple steps. Another bed measuring 120 x 200 centimeters is located below the pop-up roof. The outdoor shower also contributes to independence on the go.

Thanks to the rotating individual seats at the front, travelers can turn to each other while resting. There are two equipment variants to choose from for the rear of the Trafic SpaceNomad: the L1 versions come with a fixed two-seat bench, the L2 versions offer a sliding three-seat bench. The equipment also includes an awning in the format 220 x 235 centimeters as well as energy-saving and powerful LED lighting consisting of a total of twelve light units. In addition, a 2.000 watt oil heater ensures a pleasant room climate in the well-insulated interior, even when the outside temperature is low. Traveling in the Trafic SpaceNomad is also made easier by the optional EASY LINK multimedia system with integrated navigation and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Of course, that wasn't the end of it!
