To mark the 50th anniversary of the legendary Renault 5, Renault is presenting another show car with the genes of the cult car of the 70s and 80s: the new study has its digital premiere on September 22nd and is a homage to the sportiest version of the Renault 5. The spectacular reinterpretation inspired by video games ensures maximum driving pleasure with a purely electric drive. In September, the French automobile manufacturer is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Renault 5 with another entertaining show car that combines a confident appearance with first-class performance Chantilly Arts & Elégance Richard Mille will have their physical world premiere and will be on view at the 24 Paris Motor Show in Paris from October 25th.
HOMAGE TO THE 50TH BIRTHDAY OF THE RENAULT 5: ONLINE PREMIERE FOR ELECTRICAL STUDY
With the Renault 2021 Prototype presented in 5, the designers were already able to reinterpret the design language of the original presented in 1972. The study cites the unmistakable optical characteristics of the classic without appearing "retro". Characteristics are the closed front with the illuminated rhombus and the illuminated "Renault" lettering in the lower apron. This is framed by square LED daytime running lights with an integrated "5". Where the sporty air inlet used to be on the bonnet, the flap for connecting the charging cable is now hidden.
