Bad brother: Renault 5 Turbo 3 Black Edition!

Already last year we were blown away by the idea of the French company "Legend automobiles“ to revive the old Renault 5 Turbo. For this there was from Restomod R5 Turbo as "R5 T3" a few first virtual pictures in the material moisture meter shows you the company's social media channels. Since then, however, there has been nothing new more from the team from France. A few renderings of individual parts here and there, but nothing really "real". And that will remain the case for the time being! However, one wants to use another version as "Black Edition“ confirm that the implementation is serious. Although the black beauty is only a computer animation, it shows that the project seems to be pursued further and maybe even expanded to include alternatives. The chubby mid-engine monster (was originally built between 1980 and 1985) is basically nothing more than the virtual vehicle from 2021, but the Black Edition but is worth another contribution.

Renault 5 Turbo 3 Black Edition

The start-up company recently published the images of the gloomy offshoot on Instagram and the response since then has been clear with over 5.000 "likes" from just 17.000 subscribers. In contrast to the idea from 2021, the edition is completely black painted. Only the two mighty ones exhaust pipes, the Lettering on the lower part of the doors and the rim base of the Motorsport rims are different in color and shimmer in titanium.

The overall result is bitter and even more irresistible than the "normal" project vehicle, in our opinion. What is particularly successful is the striking one Forged visible carbon. It shows up almost like a camouflage pattern from a Erlkönig to the purse, the side skirts, the roof including the roof spoiler and of course on the panels of the XXL air intakes in the side walls. The pictures are again deceptively real and you almost forget that the car doesn't exist at all! According to the website, the virtual images were taken by a certain Martin Peng created.

Or alternatively in neon yellow?

The publication of the other ultra-realistic renderings is not only intended by Légende Automobiles to get many "likes", but instead to test the actual reaction of the public. And that is - at least so far - for a great part positive. So there's no question that the Franco-American start-up is the modernized classic must build. According to Légende Automobiles, the vehicles will be based on three-door standard Renault 5 bodies and a completely new one shell obtained from carbon. Underneath it is said to be about 400 hp Four-cylinder with turbocharger be installed behind the driver and racing details such as a digital dashboard or a massive one Roll cage shouldn't be missing either. We are excited to see when things will "get serious". If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
