RENNtech R3 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series with 1.065 hp!

Ex factory is the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series already a real street-legal race track monster. But the so-called R3 upgrade pack vomTuner RENNtech turns the strictly limited athlete into a kind of hypercar. Because the changes make the AMG GT Black Series even more powerful and overall more extreme and bring the engine in terms of horsepower in the four-digit range. And the RENNtech team even looks back on a certain history with regard to the limited Black Series vehicles. Because the tuner has already for the CLK, the SL 65 and SLS Various modifications offered. But now it was the turn of the fastest and most powerful AMG GT of the moment.

Already in 2018, RENNtech had a Tuning package for the then new AMG GT R presented and thus the then fastest Mercedes on the Nürburgring put on its feet. Visually, the Black Series is a feast for the eyes even in its standard form, with aero components from motorsport all over the body. But for RENNtech there was still some room for changes. So a new one was installed wheelset in black - similar to the matte black body – and you also rely on contrasting orange ones Accents. Other upgrades include a color matching one Roll bar, there were Four-point seat belts by Sabelt (alternatively also from Schroth) and also one Fire Extinguisher installed RENNtech in the Black Series AMG.

But of course the most important change took place under the long bonnet. In addition to an individual Software installed RENNtech new ones turbocharger, there were Stainless steel downpipes, Blow-off valves and BMC sports air filter. The result leads to a clear performance increase of the 4,0-liter twin-turbo V8 to impressive 1.065 PS (1.051 HP) and massive 1.127 Nm torque, compared to the series with 730 hp and 800 Nm. RENNtech states that this vehicle is currently the most powerful Black Series in the world. The power is still transmitted to the rear axle via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which, however, is an improved one Clutch for the monstrous torque and a new one Software for even faster shifting.

Equipped with the R3 upgrade, the AMG GT Black Series accelerates with precision 3,0 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h while the production car needs 3,2 seconds for this. In addition, the maximum speed increases from 325 to insane 352 km/h. The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series R3 conversion by RENNtech is already available in the USA, Europe and the Middle East.
