RENNtech Tuning on the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT? Do we already know? But it's NEW ... RENNtech recently presented the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R "R825"! While we already have the AMG GT from RENNtech 611620714 or even extreme 761 PS (AMG GT R) the American tuner wants to show us that this is far from the end of the flagpole. The latest expansion comes with 825 PS & 850 NM torque based on the AMG GT R and under the designation R825. This setup puts the crown on the factory-named C190. Of course, it goes without saying that not only new software is responsible for a leap in performance of 240 PS & 150 Nm torque compared to the series. In addition to an in-house software upgrade for the engine control unit, there is also a new downpipe with 200 cells to enable the increase in performance -Catalyst, blow-off valves, a high-performance air filter with a particularly high flow rate and a turbo upgrade are used.

Only then does the M 178 DE 40 AL-V8 BiTurbo push the extra power to the rear wheels and help the GT R into completely new levels of performance. The transmission and clutch are of course strengthened in order to be able to deal with the new performance and the braking system has also been taken to the chest and upgraded accordingly. Although the company has not yet specified any new acceleration values, the sprint to 100 km / h should be completed in a maximum of 3 seconds and on the quarter mile we believe the R825 can achieve a time of around 10,5 seconds. And of course the tuning also shows itself in visual terms. As part of the Top Marques 2018 in Monaco RENNtech has presented a discreet body kit that emphasizes the Gran Turismo in just the right places with lots of carbon.

The body kit includes front apron canards in double design right and left, approaches for the factory side skirts, a two-stage even larger rear wing and a diffuser integrated in the standard rear apron. And the poison green painted (AMG Green Hell Magno) Presentation vehicle also got a new set of wheels donated. The decision was made for forged rims type RPS 10.2 from the rim label VOSSEN Wheels exclusively for RENNtech. The exact dimensions are 10 × 19 inches at the front and 12 × 20 inches at the back. Equipped is the wheel with tires of the type Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 ZP which allow a lot of traction as a semi-view in the dimensions 285 / 30 ZR19 and 335 / 25 ZR20.

Visually, the finish in Satin Black with optional accents in Green Hell Magno matches the paintwork of the body. As the vehicles linked above show, the extremely extensive RENNtech program is not only available for the top model GT R but for all other AMG GT models and you can choose from countless combinations of different aluminum rims, sports exhaust systems and of course performance increases. If we get even more details about the changes, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
