In recent years, a trend towards so-called Restomod conversions out. So old vehicles that are equipped with modern technology that often cannot be identified at first or second glance. The problem with such conversions, however, is the fact that you don't see the cars driving often. Such conversions are often in heated garages and are only taken out once at various auto shows. Fortunately, that's not the case with this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle restomod. Because it drives! The vehicle was built by Nick from Chevelle Factory in Bakersfield, California, and Nick received the vehicle from his father when he was 15. Since then he has wanted to restore and tune the classic and then bring it back onto the street. And he has now succeeded.

The vehicle convinces with a particularly clean body and does not display any chrome components. The bonnet, tailgate and front spoiler are made of carbon, which not only looks good, but also helps to reduce weight. A 6,2-liter LS3-V8 from a 2014 Camaro, which was coupled to a six-speed manual transmission (TR6060), is working under the hood. However, the engine was increased in performance and received, for example, a new camshaft, a Black Widow exhaust system and a new clutch is installed. According to Nick, the engine can push a maximum of around 500 hp, but Nick drives a lower power level adapted by means of software.

And to ensure that the power of the V8 also comes safely onto the road, the Chevelle has installed an autocross coilover suspension from Speedtech and a Wilwood brake system, which is behind the chic 19 x 10 and 20 x 10 inch rims with Nitto- Tire hidden. In the interior there is a new SS dashboard, autometer displays, a functioning air conditioning system and other amenities such as central locking, electric windows and of course the sporty Corbeau seats. There is even space for a cup holder in the center console. Nick states that he was at least 10.000 miles a year with the vehicle, making the 16.000 Chevrolet Chevelle Restomod a real daily driver.
