This classic 1969 Ford "Fuelie" Bronco The first generation is a real beauty and comes from the American tuner Gateway from St. Louis, Missouri (USA). The company is almost what Singer Vehicle Design for the Porsche 911. And in addition to a completely restored body with subtle components from the modern era (Clear glass main headlights with LED daytime running lights, modern rear lights, etc.) there was an interesting "update", especially under the hood. A real power plant was built here. Specifically, it is one of Roush performance tuned Ford-Coyote-5,0-liter V8 with 10-speed automatic transmission, which generates enormous 460 hp and a remarkable 569 Nm of torque. The Bronco accelerates to 5 km / h in under 100 seconds and is faster than a Ferrari 365 GTB / 4 or Maserati Ghibli at the time. And even that Lamborghini Miura P400 he can keep in check.

hardly any changes to the optics

And optically, with the matt blue paint, the accents in white and red and the many chrome, it doesn't have to hide behind the super athletes of the time. The design has undoubtedly been retained and in combination with the lift kit including new chassis and the elegant off-road wheelset the “Fuelie” Bronco is really successful. Nothing seems exaggerated or artificially modernized as we find it. In particular, the front mask with the headlights mentioned retains the classic design and you don't have to compromise on the illumination compared to a current vehicle. And of course this also applies to the revised Wilwood sports brake system with perforated brake discs and the completely refurbished cabin. Here, the tuner uses a lot of brown leather based on the chic removable hood on the roll cage.

Retro design and modern components

The seats and rear seat are completely reupholstered and part of the dashboard and the door panels are covered with leather. There is also a lot of blue lacquer and there was even a portion of fine wood. Here, too, it is the skilful accents such as the 3-spoke sports steering wheel with wooden steering wheel rim, the modern speedometer in classic style or the large label of the tuner on the center armrest that make the unique piece so worth seeing. With the 1969 Ford “Fuelie” Bronco from the American tuner Gateway Waiting for the premiere of the reinterpretation will be sweetened this year and the new model would certainly be the perfect addition to the gateway classic in the garage.
