Can you still complete the restored ex-military Mercedes G-Class from the tuner EMC (Expedition Motor Company) recall? In the article on the 250GD there was even a link to the configurator of the company, which makes it possible to put together its very own EMC G-Class. At that time we had created a copy in white that looked simply stunning with a leather upholstery in brown and various goodies. And most of our design has now been turned into reality with another vehicle. The basis for this is an 250GD model of 1991 (VIN WDB461-074765) that has devoured work hours via 1.000. The G has been completely disassembled, restored and completely rebuilt. The vehicle was thereby up to the last bolt and to the last screw (see the gallery at the bottom) and now shows up in the state of a new car. Maybe even better!

Visually, you stay true to the origin as always, but with small details like the state-of-the-art LED headlights or the tail lights from the current model skilful accents from the current time. At the rear there is still a reserve canister and a spare wheel with full spare wheel. And from the front it is in particular the intake snorkel as well as the massive Underrun protection with towing hooks in the eye. The off-roader was technically a brand new chassis with Eibach springs and Bilstein dampers and there were rough off-road tires on black steel wheels. Furthermore, the 5 cylinder 2,5-liter diesel engine with the engine code OM602 has also been revised, and the same applies, of course, to the manual five-speed transmission (type 711.117).

And finally, the body was wrapped in a white (code 031) that with many black accents like the fender flares, the Roll cage harmonized on the loading area or the trim strips on the sides. In the interior, the aforementioned leather upholstery comes in brown and here, too, accents in black create a successful backdrop. Invisible components such as the stainless steel exhaust system or the new brake system round off the 250GD impressively. If we receive timely information about further changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if yours is simply ours Feed subscribe to.
