SPORTEC CLASSIC launches its own Porsche Classic series. FERDINAND comes up with classic borrowings, but still sporty, comfortable and exclusive. After the specialists took the Porsche 964-based athlete under their wing, nothing stays the same. Strictly tailored to the needs of customers, each copy is unique. A first teaser image shows the FERDINAND lettering and a YouTube video on the new SPORTEC channel gives an idea of where the journey is headed.
Porsche 964 "FERDINAND"
SPORTEC CLASSIC has once again done a great job and is showing its most innovative side. With FERDINAND, the Zurich company has created its own series in which each model can hardly be surpassed in terms of exclusivity. Gregor Burkard, CEO SPORTEC: “With FERDINAND we are building on past Porsche Classic conversions and are surpassing ourselves with this series. Our entire know-how from all areas is bundled into one whole in this series. Every customer thus gets a unique vehicle that is individually tailored to their needs.»
comfortable furnishings
The SPORTEC CLASSIC specialists choose well-preserved Porsche 964s for the Restomod backdate conversion series. Stripped down to the body shell, these are completely and individually rebuilt according to customer requirements. Performance and suitability for everyday use have priority. “We are clearly focusing on the overall sporty set-up of the series. The focus is always on suitability for everyday use," says Gregor Burkard. «Accordingly, FERDINAND is lighter, wider and has more power.» Comfort is ensured by a chassis tuning suitable for everyday use, the retention of certain insulation materials, air conditioning and a good sound system. The latter both in the interior and in the exterior.
On the technical side in particular, the SPORTEC CLASSIC specialists once again demonstrated all their skills. They proceeded meticulously and left no stone unturned. Lines and bearings were replaced, the entire valve control system was adapted to sports camshafts, and the cylinder liners were replaced with larger ones and filled with forged Mahle pistons. And the nice thing: All changes and parts that have been installed are allowed on public roads.
Exclusivity is in the foreground
This enumeration of FERDINAND's exclusivity could be continued indefinitely. At the end of the day, it has the status of a new car and is also optimally tailored to the needs of the customer. This makes each example of the future FERDINAND clan an exclusive one-off that will inspire its proud owner every day anew. Especially since all parts are homologated for the Swiss market.
