RØDE Toyota GR Yaris with 741 hp thanks to Powertune Australia!

Toyota's little racer, the GR Yaris, is known for its explosive factory performance and agile handling, yet PowertuneAustralia has taken the hot hatch to a whole new level. With an amazing performance 741 PS the tuned GR Yaris is now more of a pocket rocket at McLaren level than just a sporty compact car. The masterpiece of modification is the responsibility of the tuner PowertuneAustralia, who worked intensively on the three-cylinder of the car. And despite the enormous increase in performance, Powertune has even retained some of the original engine components, including the crank mechanism, pistons and connecting rods. But the power unit was fitted with a Garrett G30-770 turbocharger, a reinforced cylinder head gasket, an Akrapovic sports exhaust system, a new intercooler and a special turbocharged exhaust manifold. The power control was also tuned using a state-of-the-art Motec ECU control unit.

And instead of the standard six-speed manual transmission, Powertune has installed an X-Shift sequential transmission with a racing clutch. This helps the GR Yaris deliver its insane performance to the streets efficiently and effectively. Incidentally, the vehicle has received a matt partial foil with Røde lettering and the GR emblems on the fenders have been removed. A red tow hook at the front and golden motorsport rims essentially round off the appearance.

Incidentally, the car has been given the appropriate nickname "Rodent" and has already completed over 30 test runs without any problems. And who actually owns the rocket? The owner of the car is Peter Freedman, the founder of the renowned audio technology company Røde Microphones. The Sydney based tuner power tune has been remodeling the GR for RØDE for some time and the combination of the fierce performance, low weight of just 1.280kg and the insane modifications makes it a true behemoth for the road.

so that the engine lasts a long time

It is clear that Powertune Australia outdid themselves with the project and proved what is possible with passion, know-how and the right foundation. So we only have one thing left to say: Hats off to the masterpiece of automotive tuning and may the engine last! A vehicle that inspires respect and deserves admiration in equal measure. A must for every motorsport and tuning enthusiast. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to.
