So some time ago a Rolls-Royce Phantom of the current generation, of which the company claims to have put together the most extensive modification program of all time. But you have to take a closer look, because the Rolls has been subtly modified for Platinum standards, and compared to one Mansory copy it looks really tasteful and elegant.

Luxury and understatement

A Rolls-Royce Phantom is already one of the most decadent automobiles in series, but the crew of Platinum Motorsport has succeeded in turning the car, which was originally intended for the English aristocracy, but is loved by the beautiful and rich of Hollywood, into an automobile that was able to retain its noble character despite the various modifications.

For a phantom, it is even kept rather subtle, and you can hardly believe that the word understatement can be used in the same breath as the word Rolls-Royce. Above all, the monochrome, gray one Paintingwhich the name Burnout Grey wears, ensures a much more discreet appearance than a two-tone look, which is noticeable from afar in traffic like a sore thumb. There are also classic ones alloy wheels in multi-spoke design, which have the gigantic size of 24 inches. Incidentally, the multi-part, forged aluminum wheels follow the model name F700, and combine a touch of sportiness with classic design.

Adjustable Lowering springs also ensure that the almost 1,60 meter high representative limousine is a few millimeters closer to the asphalt. Externally, the Rolls completely dispenses with unnecessary wings, front spoilers or other attachments, and we praise Platinum Motorsport for this, because in our eyes there is hardly anything uglier than a Rolls-Royce with a body kit.

An interior for the brave!

As discreet as the car looks from the outside, it looks shrill inside. The entire cockpit and the seats were covered with yellow Manager related, which in combination with the white wood is pretty shrill. This makes the car look like Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, because from the outside he relies on (elegant) restraint, while the interior is only something for extroverted natures who like to flaunt their wealth.

6,75-liter V12 biturbo under the sheet metal

When it comes to drive, Rolls-Royce is (still) a classic. A V12 biturbo petrol engine with the traditional displacement of 6,75 liters does its job in the largest and most luxurious model of the British luxury brand. Fired by two turbochargers, the engine, which comes from BMW, develops a lot 571 PS and a gigantic 900 Newton meters maximum torque.

The land yacht accelerates from 5,3 to 0 km / h in a fairly brisk 100 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The power is transmitted via a Eight-speed automatic on the rear wheels. Despite its speed, the 2,7-ton cruiser is of course not a sports car, but a luxurious freeway glider with which you can also be faster when you need it.
