Now it's going to be classic and classy, but also modern and environmentally friendly! The Rolls-Royce Phantom V with electric drive from Lunaz, announced in October 2019, is available. Or much more, Lunaz converts the classics to electric drives on request. Because it has of course not been manufactured for a long time. The company based in Silverstone is now transforming classic automobiles into fully fledged electric vehicles. In addition, there is an extensive restoration beforehand and every corner of the vehicle is weighed precisely beforehand in order to ensure optimal weight distribution. After dismantling, a comprehensive 3D scan is carried out and then the exact installation positions and shapes of the electric motors, batteries and control units are planned on the computer.
Lunaz Rolls Royce Phantom V Electric
Customers can of course specify their desired color combination for the body and the interior and as a prime example, Lunaz has already completed a Jaguar XK120 and two Rolls-Royce. The luxurious Phantom V from 1961 is even still in the works. But the starting shot for the small series production of similar Rolls-Royce models based on Phantom and Silver Cloud has officially been given. Lunaz is therefore doubling the number of employees at the company headquarters in Silverstone. The Phantom V from the pictures has a tailor-made e-package with a 120 kWh battery, powerful e-motors and control electronics specially adapted to the characteristics of the vehicle. The Rolls should allow a range of over 300 miles (+480 kilometers) and can be charged at a normal socket or via a fast charging station.
Midland Gray and Cinereous Gray
The first copy as Lunaz Rolls Royce Phantom V Electric got an elegant two-tone paint job in 'Midland Gray' above and 'Cinereous Gray' below and there is a hand-drawn one between the colors pinstriping Applied as an accent in pink from the built-in Bakelite telephone. It was installed between the rear seats before the restoration. And it still is. But now with modern radio telephone technology. The entire cabin is kept in light 'Argent Gray' and set off with a few pink accents in the form of hand straps. There is also the original wooden trim as a refurbished version with a matt finish and inlays in red / gold. The interior is impressively rounded off with an integrated infotainment system including navigation system, new audio system with optional separation between front and rear passengers, air conditioning, fold-up picnic tables, two screens with mirror technology and a bar in the partition wall to the cockpit.
Allow £ 500.000 (plus tax)
In addition to the Phantom, Lunaz also restores the Silver Cloud I & II and also the Silver Cloud III as a limousine or drop head convertible. However, due to the lower vehicle weight, these vehicles only get an 80 kWh battery pack, which allows an identical range. Prices for a Phantom start from £ 500.000 (plus tax) and a Silver Cloud costs at least £ 350.000 (plus tax).
