Who believes the stunning McLaren 12C (also called MP4-12C at the beginning) is perfect right from the factory and does not require any changes. Today we want to impressively prove the opposite. The Indonesian magazine Hawk'n'Poke has published a yellow 12C on his page which we have to show you. The vehicle carries a completely different style than for example the Liberty-Walk MP4-12C 650S from a few days ago does. Here, it is not huge aerodynamic parts that determine the overall package, but rather the owner relied on subtle changes that also include a body kit. But this time the body kit comes from the house Vorsteiner and the American tuner is known for subtle variations rather than for extreme conversions. And that is also reflected in the super athlete!
The 12C got a discreet carbon front spoiler built in, which underlines the sporty series bumper perfectly and also generates a few kilograms of contact pressure on the front axle. The carbon side skirts are also from Vorsteiner and, with their small side flaps, are a perfect fit for British athletes. In addition, there was a noticeable air scoop on the roof that ensures that the mid-engine gets even more cooling. The large diffuser is also made entirely of ultra-light carbon and rounds off the rear, in connection with the newly designed rear spoiler, super beefy and yet not exaggeratedly wide. Visually it also fits FABSpeed sports exhaust system with their 4 round tailpipes well on the rear of the V8 biturbo and should provide a huge soundscape. Not that the trapezoidal tailpipes, which are installed ex works, look bad, but this variant is much more noticeable and in my opinion fits much better into the overall picture. Everything done right…
An absolute highlight is of course the built-in matt black Rotiform SNA-T wheelset in 20 inches at the front & 21 inches at the rear. Particularly noticeable is the design of the 5 double spokes that are painted in the vehicle color and the Pirelli wheelset PZero lettering is also kept in bright yellow. In general, the 12C with its black accents is an absolute eye-catcher all around and, in my opinion, looks even more dynamic and sporty than the production version. As in America, tinting the windows of a vehicle is not a problem in Indonesia, and so the glazing of the 12C is completely blacked out, which makes us German tuning fans look stupid with this vehicle too. Personally, I would give a lot for this look, because I find tinted windows to be super chic. But what the heck ... If we get more information about further modifications to the 12C, there is of course, as always, an update for this post. - Tires Pirelli 255 / 30 / 20 and 355 / 25 / 21
- Vorsteiner aero kit (front spoiler, side skirts, diffuser, rear spoiler, air scoop)
- Lowering (sports springs, coil springs, sports suspension, coilovers, Airride air suspension, with standard air suspension possibly by adjusting the electronics - more information is not available)
- darkened / tinted windows
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
- Sport exhaust system (Fabspeed exhaust)
