Roush Performance components for the Ford Ranger!

The current Ford Ranger has been on the market for five years now and is extremely popular. Compared to the competition, the number of pieces is sometimes at a particularly high level, which should actually lead to Ford also offering the load master as a performance variant. Other manufacturers like Nissan with the Frontier Pro-4X, Toyota with the Tacoma TRD Pro, Jeep with that Gladiator Rubicon or Chevrolet with Colorado ZR2 have long since recognized the niche in the niche and offer their models as particularly strong performance vehicles. Ford, however, sticks to the maximum 270 PS & 420 Nm strong 2,3-liter EcoBoost, which is also available from us as a SuperCab or SuperCrew version with 4 × 2 or 4 × 4. And not even the tuner Roush Performance apparently wants to change that.

no increase in performance from Roush

He has now taken on the Ranger, but without a power upgrade. In addition to various modifications for the body, the cabin or the chassis, they also offer an exhaust system for the 2-liter four-cylinder. At least something! And with the Roush Parts, the Ranger should be even more powerful in the field and also look outrageously good. The changes to the body include powerful fender flares in Magnetic Gray with marker lights all around, there is a new radiator grille with "Roush" lettering and LED daytime running lights and massive red tow hooks, a Roush "R" -entry lighting and a graphics package including an American flag to stick on are available for the ranger. We particularly like the radiator grille with double LED light strips in the Ranger Raptor design.

18 inch Roush Performance rims

And if you want, you can use other optional components such as an aluminumFullbox, a chase rack (roll bar with additional lighting) and some smaller details round off the changes to the body. And of course the tuner also has a new wheel set ready. If desired, the Ranger can be equipped with in-house 18-inch Roush Performance rims and these can be supplied with 32-inch Grabber AT / X tires. In combination with a modified chassis with Fox shock absorbers, there should be no holding back off paved slopes. And a few accessories are also available for the cabin. The photo vehicle, for example, has a completely new quilted leather interior with "ROUSH" embroidery in the headrests, WeatherTech floor mats and a modified center console including a lockable safety compartment.

Catback exhaust system with side pipes

And as already mentioned, an exhaust system is also available. The standard 2,3-liter EcoBoost turbo engine with 270 hp can be equipped with a catback exhaust system on request Sidepipe stainless steel tailpipes which at least enables an improved soundscape. And if you really want chip tuning for the engine, you can get it from providers like MyChiptuningfiles for example, an upgrade to up to 335 hp and 500 Nm. Incidentally, Roush has the Ranger 213L Ecoboost Performance Pac - Stage 2.3 at the start for the 2 PS version. Using chip tuning, exhaust and cold air intake, it enables approx. 1.830 hp “on the bike” at an additional 47 rpm for a price of 3.750 US dollars. The Roush package currently costs at least 12.750 US dollars and increases the price of the base model as the 2020 Ranger 4 × 2 from 24.110 US dollars to 36.860 dollars. If we receive information on further changes in a timely manner, or perhaps a Roush chip tuning, there is of course an update for this report.
