Since January of this year there is the New Toyota C-HR crossover SUV also in Germany to buy. The first presentation for the general public, however, was already 2014 in Paris on the Mondial de l'Automobile as a design study at that time called Toyota C-HR Concept. A year later, a revised version was presented at the IAA 2015 and finally at the Geneva Motor Show last year, the finished production vehicle. The CH-R stands on the new TNGA platform whose name stands for Coupé High Rider. Visually, the small SUV looks quite brawny, but with respect to the engine is less true. You can choose from a 1,2 gasoline engine with 85 kW (116 PS) or the engine from the Toyota Prius with 90 kW (122 PS) strong gasoline / electric hybrid drive.
The latter can still be expected. Regarding the optics, the Japanese tuner Rowen International is now planning a powerful body kit that is already in the works. First pictures give a view on a clearly grown front spoiler which is installed below the series bumper as well as strong side skirts. That, from a Japanese point of view, but the highlight sits at the rear. There is a huge diffuser that includes a sports exhaust system in the Lexus LFA style. And a larger roof spoiler is planned. Would the C-HR then at least have a corresponding engine under the hood, the body kit would seem less exaggerated, but since this is not the case, it remains in our opinion, a typical Showhase without bite. - about 20 inches big alloy wheels
- Lowering (sports springs, coil springs, sports suspension, coilover suspension - more information is not available)
