The RS Q8 is the top model of Audi's Q series. Sporty performance combined with the elegance of a premium SUV coupé characterize the vehicle with the four rings. With the new, strictly limited RSQ8 Signature Edition, ABT Sportsline has once again increased the sporty exclusivity of this basis. True to its own motto "From the race track to the road", the vehicle tuner has further developed the fast SUV into a racing utility vehicle. In allusion to the ABT founding year 1896, only 96 examples are handcrafted by experienced racing mechanics. Maximum eight per month. "Only those who take their time can create something timeless," says managing partner Hans-Jürgen Abt. However, it is not only the homeopathic quantities that arouse desire. In the attractive guise of the RSQ8 Signature Edition, the V8 biturbo engine now delivers an impressive 800 hp (589 kW). The special model thus ties in with the Johann Abt Signature Edition based on the Audi RS 2021 presented in 125 for the 6th company anniversary. It is therefore only the second vehicle model from ABT Sportsline that can be adorned with the addition "Signature Edition" and thus maximum exclusivity.
"RSQ8 Signature Edition"
A time capsule is also on board again, which again contains a real fragment from the history of the world's largest tuner for vehicles from the VW and Audi Group. With the experience from countless racing events combined with high-class craftsmanship, the ABT mechanics get an incredible 200 additional hp from the engine of the RS Q8. The racing utility vehicle from ABT Sportsline sprints from 3,2 to 0 kilometers per hour in just 100 seconds - a rapid 0,6 seconds faster than the series counterpart. It is literally breathtaking for the driver when he is pressed into his seat by the 1.000 Newton meters that are evenly distributed to the four wheels thanks to the permanent all-wheel drive. Only at 315 km/h is the end of propulsion. The exclusive performance upgrade ABT Power R* in the engine compartment is responsible for the extremely impressive performance. The intercoolers and turbochargers specially developed for the Signature Edition models, in combination with the high-precision high-tech control unit ABT Engine Control (AEC), ensure the driving performance that is reminiscent of racing. The optimized electronic lowering ABT Level Control ensures safe road holding at all times.
ABT silencer system made of stainless steel
The appropriate self-confident sound is orchestrated by an ABT silencer system made of stainless steel, which ends in four tailpipes with a diameter of 105 millimeters. As with the Johann Abt Signature Edition, there is again an extensive aerodynamics kit with a special and again completely different surface structure. "Signature Carbon Bold" is the motto this time for a large number of add-on parts. The distinctive unique structure adorns, for example, the front lip, the front blades, the front apron inserts including air intake grille and optimized air ducts, the front grille attachment, the fender flares, the mirror cap attachments, the door attachment strips, the rear panel set, the rear apron attachments and the rear spoiler. The front wheel arch vents and the rear spoiler lip are in "carbon black gloss". The forged wheels of all Signature Editions are completely independent in design and are not found in the refiner's normal collection.
"Signature Edition 23 glossy black"
The HIGH PERFORMANCE "Signature Edition 23 glossy black" used here already bears its enormous dimensions in its name. The wheel with the distinctive SE logo is even bigger than the Johann Abt Signature Edition. The associated tires measure 295/35 R23. In the interior of the RSQ8 Signature Edition, the proud owner can expect exquisite materials such as Alcantara and accents that, in terms of individuality, go far beyond the series standard of the RS model and also the R models from ABT Sportsline.
Just one of many aspects is the continuation of the elaborate diamond quilting of the seats in the course of the door refinement as well as the floor and trunk mats. In addition, the "Signature Carbon Bold" surface scheme is picked up again, for example on the steering wheel bezel or the decorative panels. So that you know immediately what a noble vehicle you have in front of you, this RS Q8 proudly presents an embossed ABT logo in the headrests as well as the RSQ8 Signature Edition lettering embroidered in the shoulder area of the seats. This can also be found as a signet in the center armrest, as a badge on the floor mats or in the form of the door entry lighting.
Time capsule in the center console
Even if every handcrafted component of the RSQ8 Signature Edition is something special, one unique detail still stands out. It makes each of the 96 high-performance vehicles unmistakably unique. A fragment of Johann Abt's first winner's trophy can be found in a time capsule in the center console. The founder's grandson once won it on the grass racetrack in Kempten. For more than 60 years, family and company have guarded this racing DNA turned metal like the apple of their eye. And now, in every vehicle, a small piece of this priceless trophy tells the story of photo finishes, pole positions and more than 300 victories that ABT Sportsline has clinched on countless race tracks around the world.
