Are you interested in standing out from the crowd with a rare, exotic vehicle? Then the little-known Subaru SVX is definitely the ultimate choice. The Subaru Alcyone SVX, known outside of Japan as Subaru SVX, was a sports coupe that was also sold in this country between 1991 and 1997. The SVX was built by the Japanese automaker Fuji Heavy Industries and was available with all-wheel or front-wheel drive. Apart from the distinctive panes on the side, the SVX impressed with its stylish lines and sometimes eye-catching edges that still look modern today. In the tuning scene, however, the SVX is almost non-existent. At least we haven't even reported on a tuned Subaru Alcyone SVX after almost 21.000 posts. But that changes today and a modified copy that can be seen on the YouTube channel of “Woyshnis Media”.

Airride chassis and Tesla rims

An SVX in elegant black with Momo sports steering wheel in the interior and brutal lowering on the exterior. On the one hand a typical JDM-spec vehicle, on the other hand it is so rare that you would actually have to invent your own name just for the SVX. This specimen is still equipped with the factory 3,3-liter boxer engine with 6 cylinders (type EG33), which is a further development of the 2,7-liter (type ER27) from the XT with a remarkable 230 HP at 5.400 rpm and 309 Nm at 4.400 rpm. Enough power to reach a top speed of 249 kilometers per hour and to surprise the German competition. From 1994 onwards, however, a Speed limiter built in to the V-Max. to limit to 230 km / h. And the 1996 model year was even throttled to 220 PS and 304 NM torque. With an unladen weight of just 1.600 kilograms and all-wheel drive, the SVX with four-speed automatic and sport mode flew to 7,5 km / h in just 100 seconds.

modern Tesla rims on the Subaru SVX

The copy from the video is even on large Tesla alloy rims and for us is one of the most beautiful Japanese vehicles in recent weeks. The changes, such as the extension of the front apron with spoiler, with wings on the right and left, the special side skirts and the rear apron attachment just look extremely successful. There was also a completely black theme of the vehicle and the standard exotic status free of charge. Many small details such as the completely darkened windows at the front and rear, the sports exhaust system that takes a bit of getting used to or the modern main headlights with xenon technology round off the changes to the SVX impressively. What more do you want? If we get more information about the changes to this Subaru SVX, there is of course an update for this report.
