Suzuki Jimny starts as a commercial vehicle in Germany

The Suzuki Jimny rolls onto the German roads as a light commercial vehicle. The Jimny NFZ will replace the previously available car version and will be available in stores at prices from 18.415,97 euros (plus VAT). The new commercial vehicle variant of the compact off-roader is only available in the "Comfort" equipment line with a manual 5-speed gearbox. The Jimny NFZ has a large luggage compartment with a cargo volume of 863 liters. The level loading floor contributes to the optimal use of the loading space; a dividing grille prevents transport goods from entering the driver's cab. Propulsion is provided by a 1,5-liter petrol engine with an output of 75 kW (102 hp) and a maximum torque of 130 Nm.

In combination with a sturdy ladder frame and a stiff wheel suspension with rigid axles at the front and rear, the ALLGRIP PRO all-wheel drive with off-road reduction ensures real off-road adventures. A total of six exterior paint finishes are available for the Jimny commercial vehicle, including two two-tone paint finishes. The comfort equipment includes amenities such as air conditioning with pollen filter, heated seats, CD radio with Bluetooth® hands-free system and steering wheel control buttons, central locking with radio remote control, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors and all-round tinted windows. In addition, the Jimny NFZ has extensive safety equipment, including dual sensor-supported active brake support (DSBS - Dual Sensor Brake Support), lane departure warning system, traffic sign recognition, hill start and hill descent assistance and drowsiness detection.

The eCall emergency function is new on board in the Jimny NFZ. In the event of an accident, the system automatically connects to the rescue service and transmits the exact location of the vehicle. As with the previously available car variant, the Jimny NFZ will also come to Germany in limited numbers. Due to the very high demand worldwide, customers have to expect long waiting times. Suzuki contract partners on site can provide further information on individual availabilities.
