You can actually get more from the subtle Scion FR-S (identical to Toyota GT86 & Subaru BRZ) than is the case with this vehicle. Almost no component was not changed or completely replaced! The overall impression has nothing to do with that of the production vehicle and it should be clear that every head turns here. This FR-S was recently a guest at the tuner ModBargains and the company took the opportunity to take a lot of pictures of it. The biggest noticeable feature is of course the extreme widebody kit that consists of several components. The huge front spoiler, the side skirts, the unmistakable GTC-200 carbon rear wing and the tiny Formula 3 exterior mirrors come from the manufacturer & tuner APR LLC. and the eye-catching bonnet and the cover on the tailgate is from Seibon Carbon, Extremely eye-catching is also the oversized Driveway Labs Type 1 rear diffuser, which includes a roaring Corsa Catback sport exhaust system that will surely bring a heavy sound out of the 4 cylinder. Incidentally, the wheel set was chosen for SSR GT-F01 alloy wheels in 18 inches that perfectly match the bodywork with their black paint finish and classic 5 spoke design.
Of course, an extreme lowering should not be missing and so a BC Racing coilover kit was installed that ensures that the Scion is pressed to the road down to the last millimeter. According to ModBargains, a major performance upgrade has also been made. The tuner gave us the information that the power is rated at 159 PS / 185 torque. However, this can only be a mistake because that would mean that there is about 40 PS and 20 NM less torque than the series vehicle. Again, the changes seem too small to us to bring about an additional output of 159 PS / 185 torque, so we cannot really make a statement here and hope that we will receive the correct performance data shortly. Regardless of this, the vehicle has been converted in an absolutely spectacular way and the purchase price of the FR-S was certainly invested again in the tuning. If we get more detailed information about the performance data or other changes, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
