+400 PS Cabriolet! Senner Tuning Audi S5 Convertible (F5)!

On days when the sun isn't shining, the car has to shine. And an S5 Cabriolet is definitely suitable for this. The clear, straightforward and yet concise lines of the A5 are particularly impressive on the flanks and with regard to the angular bonnet. There is also a sleek rear section and the typical nose with a single-frame grille, a narrow lower lip and narrow headlights. There are also optional 20-inch models with red-painted brake calipers ex works. And the Senner Tuning team, headed by the owner Benno Senner, has now pre-buttoned just such a copy. The guys are specialists with regard to the refinement of the various Audi A5 / S5 / RS5 series and are currently showing a chic white S5 Cabriolet.

The tuner based in Ingelheim am Rhein has more or less "slightly" revised the A5 of the current S5 generation (F5) with technical and optical optimization. While it is relatively subtle on the outside, a little more has happened under the hood. But let's get to the outside changes first. The elegant, open four-seater stands on rare and high-quality Work VS-XX wheels from Japan and no longer on the factory rims. The wheel set is in three parts and has a Y-spoke design with matt black stars. The rim beds, on the other hand, are contrasted in color, as they are polished to a high gloss. The exact dimensions are 9 × 20 inches on the front axle and 10,5 × 20 inches on the rear axle. Continental Sport Contact 6 tires in the format 255 / 30R20 at the front and 295 / 25R20 at the rear are fitted. There was also a foil decor in the Audi / S line design in black for the sides in the sill area. And so that the wheel set fits in the wheel arch as precisely as is the case here, of course a lowering had to be found.

KW V3 coilover kit in the S5

Senner Tuning achieves the lowering by means of a KW V3 coilover kit in a particularly "deep version". And as already mentioned, Senner also makes the 3,0-liter V6 turbo engine "legs". The tuner increased the performance from standard 354 PS and 500 Nm to a stately 407 PS and 605 Nm by installing a sports air filter, changes to the exhaust system and a chip tuning map optimization. In combination with a power converter to sharpen the characteristic curve of the electronic accelerator pedal, the S5 should approach the level of the 450 PS and 600 NM strong RS5.
