Classic Recreations from Oklahoma is known to be a manufacturer of Shelby American continuation vehicles and restorations with an official license from Shelby American. And Classic Recreations has it now SpeedKore Performance Group from Winsconsin commissioned to produce several full carbon Shelby GT500CR bodies for a new small series. The plan is part of an initiative by Classic Recreations to build the next generation of modern high-performance vehicles with classic American styling. And apparently a Cobra with a full carbon body built with a Shelby license is supposed to follow. The basis for the full carbon GT500CR is identical to the previously known vehicles. Here, too, everything starts with a completely restored base vehicle that will be equipped with the carbon body parts.

Starting from a 3D model, a CNC machine cuts the shapes and then the carbon components are manufactured in aerospace quality. The correctly shaped carbon body parts are then cured using our own autoclaves. The result is the world's first officially licensed full-carbon Shelby Mustang vehicle. It will be lighter than all other shelters and more robust at the same time. Under the hood, the carbon GT500CR can be equipped with many engine options. Starting with the 490 hp Ford Performance Gen3. 5-liter Coyote-V8 up to the 900 PS hand-crafted 427-cubic inch unit with a ProCharger intercooler, everything is possible.

The engines are coupled to a Tremec five-speed manual transmission (optionally an automatic) and a MagnaFlow sports exhaust system made of stainless steel. And also the other components such as a rack and pinion conversion, the high-performance coilover kit, large stabilizers, forged American Racing rims with Michelin high-performance tires or the available braking systems with, for example, 6-piston calipers including huge brake discs are from the existing vehicles and the Repertoire known from Classic Recreations.
