And once again the team of does it Classic Recreations from Yukon in Oklahoma (USA) to set up a Ford Mustang that puts the company's previous vehicles in the shade. A Mustang that was known some time ago Heritage Shelby GT500CR Carbon Car - Concept Car was presented and its body is made entirely of carbon. It's limited to just 25 units and a minimum of $ 300.000 is required for a vehicle. The body is made by the specialists at SpeedKore Performance Group and it is of course, like all vehicles from Classic Recreations, equipped with the blessing of Shelby American. The carbon body of the recreated legend is coated with UV-protected clearcoat from BASF Glasurit and it always includes a Le Mans fuel filler cap.

Every vehicle needs at least 2.000 man hours to be completed, which of course explains the costs to a small extent. The installed components explain the rest. For example, the specially made tubular frame chassis with subframe, there is a state-of-the-art and fully adjustable coilover kit and the delay is provided by a sports brake system with 6 pistons on the front axle and 4 pistons at the rear from the manufacturer Wilwood. Countless modern components such as rack and pinion power steering, an adjustable steering column or adjustable pedals are just a few other highlights of such a vehicle. Essentially, all of the components are already known from previous copies of Classic Recreations. The main difference is the complete carbon shell of the edition.

And we already know the engine from other vehicles. The 5,2 liter Coyote Gen. 3 Crate Engine V8 with Whipple compressor which sends at least 810 PS to the rear wheels in the Carbon Edition. The Carbon Edition has a six-speed manual transmission from Tremec, there is a 9,0-inch rear axle from Strange Engineering with a 3,70 ratio and Posi Traction differential, and the power comes on the road with 18-inch aluminum rims. The powerful engine is fed by a 68 liter tank with double Vaporworx fuel pumps and, like all vehicles of the tuner, the limited carbon version also has an endless list of possible special equipment. From additional KPH ads for $ 500 to the special right-hand drive version for an additional $ 12.500, everything is possible.

Of course, this also includes state-of-the-art touchscreen infotainment with satellite navigation, a five-channel amplifier from Stillwater Designs, a powerful subwoofer and countless loudspeakers. And that includes leather upholstery made to customer specifications and other technical amenities such as air conditioning. Incidentally, the carbon outfit is available for the GT500CR 545, the 900C and the 900S. The result is a Shelby that is lighter and stronger than the original steel-bodied car, and whose classic American design is made from the latest aerospace-grade carbon fiber technology.
