When it comes to tuning, the Skoda brand is usually not so much in focus, but much more in the shadow of the parent company VW. But the Czech manufacturer with the winged arrow is in the process of changing exactly that by constantly gaining popularity in the tuning scene. Above all, the Octavia model, which is positioned somewhere between the compact and mid-range and sells like sliced bread, is now a tuning magnet. This does not only apply to Europe, but to all markets in which the Octavia is very popular, such as India, Australia and China. And the specimen we discovered that we are going to present to you today is also rolling on Chinese roads.
Show car in the early millennium style.
One thing is immediately noticeable about the white Octavia, namely the enormous depth that was created by installing an Airride chassis from Airllen. The SSR Courage rims in 18-inch format are also an eye-catcher, as they demonstrate a lot of style and individuality with their loft bed look in star design and the hubs in the tread. In addition, the Skoda rolls on Dunlop Direzza dz102 tires in the format 235/40 R18. Behind the, in our opinion, extremely attractive rims there is a brake system from AP-Racing, which is typical for Chinese tuning vehicles. The brake has the model name AP8530 and the diameter of the discs is 335 mm, which is almost the size of a family pizza. The early millennium style is then visible in the evil eye, which nowadays almost seems to have died out, as the headlights of the current car models are becoming ever narrower anyway.
with DIY four-pipe (fake) exhaust system
However, Skoda is taking a different approach to headlight design, which is why, in our opinion, it makes sense to include the Octavia Scheinwerferblenden equipped to achieve a sportier look. In addition, yellow LED daytime running lights were installed, which give the entire front structure a special touch. At the rear, the diffuser with rear fog light is immediately noticeable, which is flanked by a DIY four-pipe (fake) exhaust system. Furthermore, a self-made mini spoiler was attached to the trunk lid, which looks like a Gurney Flap and the simple rear end of the Skoda should upgrade a little.
Unfortunately we are not aware of anything about the engine!
Unfortunately, we cannot provide any definitive information on power, displacement and driving performance, as we do not have any information about the drive source. But it is very likely that this model is a 1,4-liter TSI petrol engine with 150 hp, because it is on the Chinese market, in addition to the small 1,2 TSI engine with 116 horses, was the only one available with a DSG gearbox, and the photos of the interior of the car clearly show an automatic gearbox and no manual switch. No matter what heart beats under the hood, the car has been refined by its owner in such a way that he no longer needs to race. After all, you want to show what you can do with such a vile Octavia.
Our conclusion on this cool Czech:
Once again, a Chinese tuner proves his taste when refining his baby. If you want to do it and want to buy a last-generation Octavia as a hatchback, you can get a very well-preserved copy with a checkbook for around 15.000 euros. This makes the car ideal as a project car. Of course, we have also added a large picture gallery at the end of the article.
