ŠKODA is expanding the engine range of the new OCTAVIA RS with the new top diesel of the EVO generation: the 2,0 TDI drives the compact sports car with 147 kW (200 PS) * and mobilizes up to 400 Nm. The manufacturer basically combines the unit with a 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG), customers can choose between front-wheel and all-wheel drive. In conjunction with the new TDI, ŠKODA offers the OCTAVIA RS from 39.205 euros including 16 percent VAT, and the OCTAVIA COMBI RS from 39.888 euros. With the 2,0 TDI EVO, the new OCTAVIA RS is also available with all-wheel drive for the first time. The control electronics of the optional 4 × 4 drive reacts to changing driving conditions within fractions of a second and supports the driving dynamics, for example when cornering quickly. When the load on the inside wheel is relieved, the system transfers part of the drive torque to the opposite wheel and thereby maintains traction.

The maximum torque is 400 Nm. The sedan reaches its top speed at 243 km / h, the station wagon drives up to 238 km / h. In conjunction with front-wheel drive, it is 249 km / h or 245 km / h. The sport suspension, which has been lowered by 15 millimeters, and the progressive steering make a significant contribution to the dynamic driving experience and agile handling of the OCTAVIA RS - both are standard equipment. Numerous design features characterize the OCTAVIA RS as a dynamic athlete in the bestseller series.

Black 18-inch light-alloy wheels provide a view of red-painted brake callipers - on request, ŠKODA can also equip the OCTAVIA RS with 19-inch light-alloy wheels. The black accents on the radiator grille, the exterior mirror caps and the window frames are just as characteristic of an RS model. When combined, they also decorate the roof rails and the aeroflaps at the rear. In the sedan, the rear diffuser and the RS rear spoiler wear elegant black. RS emblems on the ŠKODA grill and on the tailgate round off the sporty appearance.

Ex works with a 10,2-inch virtual cockpit

The equipment highlights in the OCTAVIA RS include the 10,2-inch virtual cockpit including sports view and the driving profile selection Driving Mode Select including RS mode. In terms of connectivity, ŠKODA relies on the Bolero infotainment system with a central, free-standing display and a screen diagonal of ten inches. The coupling between vehicle and smartphone is wireless thanks to wireless SmartLink technology. In the OCTAVIA RS, for example, ŠKODA Connect1 enables remote vehicle access via app. Other technologies of the model include the Bluetooth hands-free system including Phonebox for inductive charging of mobile phones, digital radio reception (DAB +) and parking sensors at the front and rear.
