Half portion? Speedkore Dodge Charger Evolution with 979 PS

979 PS in Dodge Charger Evolution from SpeedKore are one half Portion? Okay, maybe a bit over the top of our headline! Considering the 1.650 hp - 1970 Dodge Chargerin cooperation with the tuner Salvaggio Automotive Design originated in the year 2015, but somehow also correct again. Anyway ... The latest strike of the American tuner is in no way inferior to the previous project, apart from less power. The vehicle was on the past Sema Auto Show 2018 exhibited and one of the absolute highlights there. Once again a typical Restomod project and of course a one-off. Also this time there was a complete carbon body with clear coat which makes the aprons, doors, fenders, hood or the roof much lighter.

and again everything made of carbon

In combination with further improvements, such as an aluminum transmission tunnel, the weight of the slightly larger charger drops by 150 kg to about 1500 kg. At the same time, the performance increases extremely. The basis for this is the 6,2 liter compressor V8 from the Dragmonster Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. This is by means of Air Intake system, larger injectors, new drive wheel for the compressor and a complete sports exhaust system made of stainless steel persuaded to send 979 PS and fierce 1.220 NM torque to the rear wheels. Tremec will use six-speed manual transmissions and of course there was also a completely new suspension from Penske and a massive Brembo GT brake system with 381 mm large perforated brake discs.

The performance comes from three-piece HRE S101 forged wheels in the format 10 × 19 & 12 × 20 inches and the wheel set is equipped with slippers in the dimensions 245/35 at the front and huge 345/30 at the rear. The Charger is optically rounded off with modern LED headlights and nice details such as a tank cap or aluminum door handles. And the interior has also been completely revised. Although it still shines in the style of the 1968 - 1970 generation, only modern technology is used here, too. There are countless small details such as a carbon shift lever, a Momo sports steering wheel, a Sony sound system, but also major changes such as the new dashboard with two large round instruments or the Recaro sports seats and the perfectly fitted roll cage instead of the rear seat stand out. If we receive more information in a timely manner, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
