SPORTEC gets the Audi RS4 Avant (B9) moving!

SPORTEC gets the Audi RS4 (B9) moving. With software optimization, a sports exhaust and a sports chassis that is individually tailored to the Avant, the Zurich-based company is helping the Ingolstadt driver along. Other components are also in preparation. The road-legal SPORTEC RS4 celebrates its Swiss premiere from 10.06. to 12.06.22 on the occasion of the Lenzerheide Classic. SPORTEC is back. For around 25 years, the Swiss company has made a name for itself nationally and internationally in the tuning industry. With the latest project, the people from Zurich are impressively back and have taken an object under their wing with the current Audi RS4 (B9) in order to perfect it with targeted measures. At the same time, it is a homage to the spectacular Audi RS4 B5, which caused a sensation in the national and international car gazettes at the time with its 600 hp.

More power

The approved SPORTEC EO level 1 software optimization is just the beginning. More are in the pipeline to match the B600's performance potential (5 hp). With an adjusted torque limit, level 1 initially helps the B9 to achieve a mighty 510 hp (374 kW) and a beefy 760 Nm of torque - i.e. an increase of 60 hp and 160 Nm. And that has tremendous repercussions. Thanks to the power boost, the all-wheel drive vehicle completes the parade sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,5 seconds. This is 0,6 seconds faster than the factory setting of 4,1 seconds. At the same time, the Vmax was raised from 250 to 299 km/h with the optimization.

Optimized substructure

In order to optimally transfer the power to the road, the men from Höri gave the sports suit a specially adapted substructure. The goal of development was clear from the start - outstanding handling without compromising on comfort in everyday life. Using the original top mounts and thanks to the regulation of the rebound and compression damping via an adjuster, the station wagon is 20 to 35 millimeters closer to the asphalt. Thanks to the use of the unique DFV technology in the damper (Dual Flow Valve technology), it still retains a considerable amount of residual comfort. And there's more: thanks to changes to the track and camber, the five-door car now steers even more precisely and jaggedly.

Better traction

SPORTEC has also optimized its classic Mono10 rim. Under the name suffix EVO Forged, the one-piece suit, which is available in 9×20 inches, received a fine touch in the truest sense of the word. The concave milling of the basic structure and the lateral spokes - of course while retaining the classic and still timeless SPORTEC Mono10 design - contributes to the targeted weight reduction. And that's 600 grams per wheel compared to the standard complete wheel. Along with the milled SPORTEC logo, there is also a wide range of colors available to customers. The homologation of the new SPORTEC Mono10 EVO Forged is in preparation.

Beefy sound

The RS4 sports exhaust specially designed by SPORTEC, on the other hand, has already passed its DTC inspection. Made of stainless steel and from the catalytic converter, equipped with double-sided 4×90 millimeter tailpipes, the exhaust system ensures the sporty sonorous sound. Thanks to the optimized pipe routing, there is better draft and less back pressure, which allows the six-cylinder to breathe more freely. On top of that, this results in an increase of 10 hp. The original flap control is adopted, a SPORTEC flap control is available as an option. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
