Whether one decides now for a Scion FR-S, a Toyota GT86 or a Subaru BRZ lies probably only on the personal taste and the preference for one of the brands. In terms of technology, the vehicles are identical and take nothing from the Toyota GT2011 featured at the Tokyo Motor Show 86. The development was developed in collaboration with Subaru who created the design with Toyota. The AS-1 platform on which the vehicle is based, like the rest, is completely developed by Subaru or comes from the existing Subaru model range. And also the engine (FA20D) was developed by Subaru and has a combined intake manifold and direct injection system called "D-4S" and comes from Toyota. In addition to the GT86, the identical Scion FR-S is also based on this platform.
Of course, these three almost identical vehicles are also a reason why modifications are so in demand for all three. You just want to stand out much more than just a modified front and slightly different rear views. The owner of this FR-S therefore opted for a set of Forgestar CF5V rims in glossy black, the racing tires are covered with white tire writing and give the vehicle a nice accent. Using Eibach pro-kit sport springs, the vehicle was also lowered by one inch at the front and rear. The rather large exhaust pipes also suggest that a sports exhaust system was installed, but unfortunately we have not yet had precise information on this. There isn't much more to say about the car so we leave it with the pictures. If we get more information about the modifications to the FR-S, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
