Yesterday, when we gave you the Mercedes Benz SL500 with Black Series optics from Inden Design presented, we pointed out how rare such a real SL65 Black Series is. Less than 24 hours later we found one that we absolutely have to show you and that only mutated into an absolute eye-catcher with a new set of alloy wheels. New alloy wheels are an absolute must in the tuning scene and one of the most noticeable features of a tuned vehicle. What could be more obvious than looking around the shelf of HRE Performance Wheels? The owner of the following 670PS strong and only 350 x built Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series did just that and opted for a HRE Performance Wheels P103 wheelset in 21 inches and silver that was installed by the Wheels Boutique team.
If you take a closer look at HRE's range of rims, we will understand why! HRE stands for quality and also has an appealing selection of different designs and of course something suitable for the mega rare SL65 BS AMG on the shelf. In order to show you the whole thing with pictures, we decided to introduce you to the vehicle. In addition to the optically very well-fitting aluminum rims, the SL has received a few other modifications that we are only aware of due to the pictures, unfortunately we do not have technically reliable information. Regardless, the main focus of the car is clearly on the already mentioned P103 wheelset, which is an absolute asset to the car compared to the standard rims and immediately gives the vehicle a more dynamic appearance.

We took a closer look at the car and made a few comparisons with the production version and were able to identify a few changes to the Alu's. What we directly from HRE have experienced and recognized for yourself, we provide you with a summary as usual below. Here are the details of the Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series:
- HRE Performance Wheels wheel set P103 in 21 inches (silver, 20 x 10 inches in front and mighty 21 × 13 inches in the rear)
- black grille
- 285/30/20 & 355/25/21 Pirelli P Zero tires
- darkened windows all around
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - info is pending)
- possibly a sports exhaust system (info is still pending)
Update
News from 17.11.2017
We have recently received new pictures, and this time they are showing a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series on copper-colored P103 rims from HRE Performance Wheels. The dimensions are identical to those of the vehicle above, which means that 20 inches are installed on the front axle and 21 inches at the rear. In our opinion, the combination looks at least as successful and both wheel sets are definitely a significant improvement over the factory rims.
Maybe there will soon be an update with information and pictures. If this is the case we will of course also put it online and inform you about it.
