It is one of the few affordable classics - the Datsun 240Z Fairlady! For about 20.000 € you should get a perfectly acceptable copy in this country and an increase in value is almost guaranteed. This particular specimen that we discovered on the Complete Custom Wheels (CCW) website is likely to be significantly more expensive. Because the 70s sports car with a self-supporting sheet steel body actually swapped the 2,4-liter in-line six-cylinder (type L24) for a Toyota 600JZ in-line six-cylinder with approx. 447 hp (2 kW). A lot of wood for a car with an empty weight of just over a ton (exactly 1044 kilograms). And so that the engine always gets enough fuel, there were modified fuel lines, an ATL racing tank and an Infinity control unit that controls all components.

The potent 240Z is switched classic with a Toyota R154 five-speed manual transmission (installed in MKIII Supra, Crown, Chaser Tourer V, Mark II Tourer V, Cresta Tourer) and continues to drive only the rear axle. And so that the power can be transmitted permanently and reliably, there was a special cardan shaft and a powerful slip-free R200 differential. The other partly extensive components that are necessary for such a conversion we leave out here. That would go beyond the scope! And visually, a lot has been done on the 240Z. Front was the Japanese a modified front with a large grille that reminds us a little bit of the Aston Martin DBS V8 70er years. In our opinion, he would be in black but clearly harmonious / matching.

The fact that the large air vents is necessary, but understands itself due to the performance of the engine by itself. It goes on with fender flares with exposed fasteners and particularly chic we find the mounted on the fender vintage rearview mirror. From the rear, the 240Z with a large Ducktail rear spoiler lip and the factory-made rear skirt was completely removed, as well as the normally installed rod antenna in the side wall. And then there's the multi-piece 16 inch CCW Classic 5 wheelset from the manufacturer Complete Custom Wheels. The rim comes with a black rim and polished rim and the dimensions are pretty bold with 10,5 x 16 inches in front and 11 x 16 inches in the back. The fact that behind the new Alus a befitsgemäße brake system hides course goes without saying. The Classic 5 rims have incidentally equipped with Toyo Proxes tires wearing in addition bright yellow tire stickers.

And so that the wheel set fits so accurately in the widened wheel arches was also a significant lowering not be missing. The lowering is achieved with an adjustable D2 coilover suspension offered by D2 Racing for the 240Z. Unfortunately, pictures of the cabin are not available at the moment. But you can see two new sports seats with racing straps and with high probability it is the steering wheel to one of the house Sparco. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report. 1. Another fancy piece based on a Datsun ... as in another comment from me here, I like to refer to the little relatives here:
