It's hard to believe, but it is already in the second year that was presented at the Geneva Motor Show Cayman GT4 as the most powerful and most sporty version of the Cayman. Equipped with the phenomenal 3,8-liter boxer engine of the Porsche 911 Carrera S (991) as well as the front axle, parts of the rear axle and brakes from the 911 GT3 (991), the Cayman GT4 is optimally equipped for the track. Even the chassis is rigorously designed for racing and can be meticulously adapted to the particular racetrack in every detail. Specifically, this means the track, camber, ground clearance and the stabilizers can be adjusted to the particular needs. Due to the different chassis parts of the Cayman GT4 has indeed a different wheelbase compared to the Cayman, Cayman S and Cayman GTS, with a Nordschleifezeit of 7.40 min is that only positive to rate because the GT4 is only about 15 seconds slower as the big brother GT3.

The wheel label Road Wheels developed its ultralight SV1 Deep Concave Monoblock wheel to give it a few more seconds. The Cayman GT4 was fitted with 9 × 20 front and 11 × 20 rear wheels and can even be fitted with the standard 245-35 20 and 295-30-20 tires are fitted. The highlight is of course the weight of the rims because this is only 9,07 kg per wheel at the front and only 11,33 kg at the back. Due to the lower weight, the unsprung mass is of course positively influenced and this not only ensures a better implementation of engine power but also more grip on the race track. Maybe even in the next few days even a video with a direct time comparison of the Nordschleife, we would be happy!
