It's hard to believe, but it's been 52 years since the first generation of the Toyota Celica (Codenamed TA22, was available in trim levels LT, ST, GT, etc.) debuted. The Japanese sports coupe immediately impressed with its modern appearance, efficient engines and advanced chassis tuning. At that time, the Japanese started in the USA with a 1,9-liter engine and later (model year 1972-1974) with a 2,0-liter engine. From 1975 there was even a new and more powerful 2,2 liter engine and a five-speed manual gearbox, as an alternative to the four-speed automatic introduced in 1973. But this crazy one Restomod has very little to do with the classic from back then. The vehicle with 4A-GE engine comes from Malaysia and was developed by one of the largest tuning shops for interiors, Carzone Interior, set up.
Toyota Celica as Restomod
The video shows a completely new leather one Interior (orange leather interior) and of course will also be closer to the remodeled Body received. Here is a sporty one rear spoiler, there are widened Wheel arches, an individual bonnet and also a set of new ones Rims is installed. There is also an illuminated radiator grill to see. But the real highlight is the already mentioned cabin with the new ones bucket seats, the completely rebuilt Center console, the Start-stop button for the engine or the new one TRD pedal pads made of aluminium. It's best to see the rest for yourself!
