Do you know that? Toyota GR Heritage Parts Project? Toyota Gazoo Racing launched this in 2020 so that the old sports cars from Japan can continue to roll on the streets and the topic of finding spare parts is no longer a problem. Since then, Toyota Gazoo Racing has been selling spare parts for classic Toyota models in the form of the supra A70 (Bj. 1986 - 1993), dem 2000 GT and the Supra series A80 (Bj. 1993 - 2002). And now the range is even being expanded. According to the Japanese, additional replacement parts for Supra models sold from 1986-1993 (A70) and 1993-2002 (A80) are available in Japan, North America and wherever the models have been sold frequently and are still available. These new parts are also "like normal original parts" sold.
The following parts are new:
- for Supra A70 Emblems (front and rear), clutch master and release cylinders, brake and heater hoses, air conditioning control panel, side protection strips, front door panels, lower wishbone bushes for the front suspension
- for Supra A80 Lambda probe and front bumper
However, Toyota states that the new parts will only be available in limited numbers and "with the special cooperation of our suppliers"And further that"After the production time has expired, every reproduced part is only offered for sale as long as stocks last."
The following list of GR Heritage Parts (Revival Parts) has been available since 2020:
- Components such as door handles, cardan shaft, etc. for supra A70
- Headlights and brake booster for supra A80
- Substitute parts, these are existing new parts that can replace parts that are out of stock in terms of accuracy of fit, function and quality
- Transmission and differential parts for Toyota 2000 GT (Sold only to owners of a 2000GT) and only a limited number of parts per vehicle can be ordered
- in addition, customer requests for further spare parts could be expressed
