Dongfeng Motor Corporation

The Chinese Dongfeng Motor Corporation was founded in 1969 as Second Automotive Works. It was not until 1992, when Second Automotive Works merged with eight start-up companies, that the Dongfeng Motor Corporation emerged. The company also has a development division for engines and vehicle components, and operates joint ventures with various large car manufacturers, from which, for example Honda-, Citroen or Peugeot models for the Chinese market are created. For example, models from Dongfeng have Renault-Technology or OpelComponents. In terms of tuning, Dongfeng does not seem to be very popular in China yet, but this can of course change if sportier models are to be found in the portfolio.
