The current Toyota Supra has a really hard time compared to its predecessor. Hardly any other vehicle is so popular in the tuning scene and at the same time hardly any other vehicle is criticized as strongly as the new model. Since 2002, the fourth generation has blossomed into a prime example of a cult cult object. From 2002 until today, it took almost 18 years for Toyota to bring the new Supra back on the road for the 2020 model year, which meant a lot of time for many ideas. So you had almost two decades to rebuild the old model and sometimes extremely tuned. These 18 years of development then lead to vehicles such as EKanoo Racing's.
2.400 HP Toyota Supra on the Dyno!
The Supra is on a dyno test bench and, thanks to countless upgrades, achieves an insane 2.033 PS (1.516 KW) and 1.303 lb-ft (1.766 Newton meters) of torque "at the wheel"! If you calculate with about 15 percent power loss, the engine should now produce almost 2400 hp and almost 2.100 Nm of torque. These are key data that could easily come from an airplane. The Supra has a 3,0-liter 2JZ in-line six-cylinder installed which EKanooRacing has coupled with a PPG manual transmission. He has installed an M150 engine management system from Motec (chip tuning software), plus of course an improved turbocharger from Precision Turbo and countless other components such as a custom-made exhaust system, new pistons and connecting rods and of course a completely self-made cooling system. And a lot has changed visually too!
