Theon Design Porsche 911 (964) "BEL001" Restomod!

Theon Design recently unveiled its brand new project, the “911 BEL001”. This is intended to show once again that in the 911Restomod-Jungle next to Singer, Reputation, RWB, Emory, Kaege & Co. can stand out. Theon Design wants a piece of the cake and has, with the vehicles published so far (see here) good chances. The Oxfordshire company, only founded in 2016, unleashed the BEL001, whose name indicates that this 964 belongs to Theon Design's first customer from Belgium. This vehicle is also back down to the last screw restauriert and the 3,6 was also equipped with a XNUMX-liter boxer engine Rotrex compressor stocked. The forced ventilation is installed on the right side of the engine, at the point where the standard air conditioning was previously installed.

The OEM attachment points are used, but are reinforced. This is the only way to ensure that the engine does not twist in the engine compartment under heavy use and the components simply fly apart. Incidentally, the OEM air conditioning system was against a newer system exchanged, which is not only lighter, but also works more efficiently. And in view of the two necessary Intercooler is placed on the opposite side of the supercharger, giving the engine bay a clean, symmetrical layout. After all, the eye also eats under the hood! But we come to the most important details of the engine: the performance.

The air-cooled six-cylinder delivers a strong 400 hp and a torque of almost 500 Newton meters. The power is transmitted via the original five-speed manual gearbox, which Theon Design has completely revised. The engine reports acoustically via a Sports exhaust system made of stainless steel and of course the entire chassis was also modified. A semi-active suspension is now installed, which ensures that the 1.265, which by the way weighs only 1 kilograms with all fluids and a full tank, can be guided out of the curve with extreme precision. In order to keep the weight as low as possible, the material carbon, which is obtained from a Formula XNUMX supplier, was used for many parts of the body.

Weight distribution of 50:50

Incidentally, all hardware changes mean that an almost perfect weight distribution of 50:50 has been achieved. And finally, of course, the cabin is completely new. It doesn't matter whether it's the trunk or the interior, everything is extensively covered with leather and modern details such as the instruments, the radio and the noble ones are also convincing here Racing pedals. According to Theon Design, such a vehicle is completed in about 18 months and costs at least 380.000 British pounds (a good 440.000 €). If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to.
