The Ford Ranger fan base has been waiting for this for a long time! According to media reports, there will be a high-performance version of the Ranger Raptor Pickup with the V8 from the Ford Mustang. The successful model has also been the best-selling model in the division in Germany in the midsize category for years, and now the Ranger Raptor V8 is another special model as a hardcore off-roader. Finally no four-cylinder diesel or the boring EcoBoost petrol engine under the hood, but the thick five-liter V8 from the Mustang GT. BUT -> not with us !!! It's howling ... Ford is probably only planning the special series of the Raptor in Australia, where the model offered worldwide was developed down under. Incidentally, the Raptor should not be built by Ford itself, but by a third-party company that has been doing such conversions based on regular diesel Raptors for a long time.
V8 and Roush compressor? Why not?
And tuner Tickford also announced that he wanted to build the Roush compressor kit in the Ranger Raptor with V8. As a result, you expect about 730 PS & 828 NM torque and thus the 5,0-liter Coyote V8 would make the Raptor an athlete. Tickford sells the 730 PS compressor package for the Mustang GT for just over 12.000 US dollars and that could also be a realistic sum for the Ranger Raptor V8.
