The Japanese tuner "TOM's" recently announced the launch of an aerodynamic package for the third generation of the Toyota Century sedan. The Century is Toyota's flagship for Japan and closely related to the Lexus LS, which is sold a little more successfully outside of Japan. What the Maybach is to the German, the noble Rolls-Royce to the English, the Century has been to the Japanese for decades. But you can't really compare the vehicles. Even if no Japanese, let alone Toyota, would like to hear that. But what costs the equivalent of a good € 160.000 (19,6 million yen) actually only brings a few classy woolen cushions, screens with the quality of a Gameboy and not even one Ambient lighting With. Not to mention WLAN or a gesture control of the air conditioning system.

But the Japanese seem to like it! The Century stands there over a Rolls-Royce or Bentley, over the S-Class and also the BMW seven has to line up in the back. Reason enough for the third generation to develop a small body kit that there will be exactly 36 x as a limited edition. For the front one created a large spoiler with daytime running lights, there are new side skirts and even a rear spoiler is installed. And for the classy cabin, every material, color and finish is available that the customer desires or can only imagine. For the exhibition vehicle that could be seen at the previous Tokyo Auto Show, a leather cover in white with black contrast stitching was chosen and there was also TOM's lettering on the headrests.

And typically Japan, they even thought of the right slippers, which should bring a bit of living room flair into the large cabin for the passengers in the back seat. Of course, the body kit can be combined with various aluminum rims and a lowering is already available. Of course, both could be seen on the exhibition vehicle. Incidentally, the Century is not officially offered in this country at all and we will therefore probably not be able to see a modified copy of TOM's on our streets.
